Taking charge of credit after selling house

Hello myFICO forum this is my first post

I'm 34 years old and sold my house in October walking away with $160k in my pocket. I decided to pay off the handful of debts I have and get a grip on my credit report. I guess I'll be sort of documenting my progress in this thread.

I am now renting an apartment. Rent is almost the same as my mortgage. For now I'm in a sustainable holding pattern while I wrap my head around this and decide what to do. It was time do sell. I paid $175k for my house a decade ago with almost nothing down and sold for $340k. I just see this as a good time to change up my life most importantly, but pocket almost what i paid for the place, get my credit perfect, and invest in various assets. To the moon ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's definitley a relief knowing you don't owe people money. It's never too late to begin the restroation process. Great job on your behalf.

Congratulations. And if you havent already, make sure you max out an IRA

account.
