Much like with bonvoy I liked the former name better Fort Knox just EXUDED money......LOL, Abound does have a travel feel to it, my BIGGEST hope is the OVER DUE updated WEB SITE that MAYBE I could do ACH from my other bank accounts......is that asking too much.....LOL

I just got this email myself. I have been with them for about a year, building a relationship BUT it's looking like I'll be taking my funds elsewhere just as I did when Army Aviation Center CU changed their name to All In.

I still am holding out hope, as it says they were not bought out or merging with anyone, just refreshing.......so if they modern up that would make be ABOUND with PLEASURE.....LOL

You leave FIs that you're otherwise happy with because they change their names? That seems a bit petty honestly.

I've had their Platinum Credit Card (5% gas) for almost 3 years now and have been quite happy. I'm looking forward to seeing what the Abound rebranding will bring because it sounds like their online portal is finally going to get a much-needed facelift. While it works and is useable, their interface feels very outdated and stuck in the stone age.

I made no mention of being happy with either of them and my reasons are my own. It's not personal, it's business.

Here's hoping they do indeed bring their interface out of the days when Blockbuster was king and dial up was a thing.

Sometimes hard to know what to expect. Penfed put a nice new starter page on their site, bringing it up to 2010 or so. But as soon as you login, you get the same old ancient-looking interface. Obviously cheaper to replace just a few pages, but not exactly a meaningful makeover!

I am hoping by some of the verbiage that it is MORE than a logo change...although a refresh of the credit card would be most welcome also...LOL Yeah to "Technology Enhancements"!!!

I'm not a cardholder or member, but for what it's worth, I think they should have kept the old name.

The old name is unique. The new name sounds random. It could be any product or service. It could be a brand of luggage or a Kia SUV.

Changing a name without some specific reasons (merger, or a big change in the industry like moving from telegraph to telephone, etc) makes it seem like they are trying to get away from a reputation. JMO

So the re-brand finally went live and the main website is all-new, but the account management portal is still the same pre-historic look with the new logo slapped on. Quite disappointing.

I did. I checked to see which bureau they pulled, but it's been long enough ago that the HP isn't showing, so I can't recall which it was. FWIW, I was approved and technically became a member, but the only card they would give me was their bottom tier one. I had been after their 5% gas card. It wasn't worth it to me, so I immediately closed my membership account.

It has been awhile for me but I do know it was Trans Union for the CC, and I do not remember one for membership....but do not quote me on that one.....

While it is an eyesore, their portal has never given me any issues. I can easily view my transactions and pay the bill.

In terms of signing up, they only did one hard credit pull which was used for establishing both the savings and Visa account.
