PSA: Synchrony and Disco pull Innovis through SageStream

So I ordered my Innovis credit report and I was looking it over and the only inquiries I have are from SageStream pulling for another creditor - 3 from Synchrony Bank (corresponding to my Payboo, CareCredit, and Marvel account openings), 1 from Disco, and 1 from Goldman Sachs.

It looks like Innovis only keeps inquiries for a year so I can't say whether they pulled for PayPal 1/2019 or Amazon 12/2018.

Also if you guys haven't pulled your Innovis report, you really should. Looking at how thorough this report is, we basically should say we have 4 CRAs now, not 3. My SSFCU, Rewards+, BCP, Cash Magnet, SavorOne, QS (now V1) and Apple Card are the only open accounts I have that aren't reporting to Innovis.

Innovis is certainly another CRA although not one of the major 3 nor provides scores that I am aware of and there are certainly more than just the 3+1 from innovis as other smaller ones exist as well. I just keep the major 3 unfroozen personally when I apply and all the smaller ones I have control over froozen with exception of EWS as for some reason you can't freeze that which I think is BS, but that is another story and probably will change in time as they are better known and lawsuits probably will happen and be forced to offer freezes.

No problem. It actually kind of shocked me to see that Synchrony uses SageStream. I had no clue. It seems like SageStream pulls end up pulling Innovis so like for US Bank apps, it would be important to make sure Innovis is clean.

Fortunately I didn't find a single error so Innovis at least seems to be competent.

problem I have with smaller CRAs such as innovis they don't show your whole credit picture like the big 3 only certain accounts which skews your credit report/history as not all lenders report to them or other smaller CRA's... Big fault is how i see it.

Was there anything in your report that's not normally present on CR from the other three CRA?

If there is, might shed some light on recent closures

I know that my sage stream report US Bank pulled had additional info such as professional licences number.

I wasnt too happy about that.

Yeah but Innovis has quite a bit regardless so it's a good idea to pull it. And obviously over time they're going to have more accounts added anyway.

I was a bit surprised to see NFCU and DCU report to them but Citi, AMEX, and Capital One don't.

There's not anything on my Innovis that isn't on the others but I'm sure my SageStream will. I have to wait for them to approve my ID and snail me my SS report and in the meantime I've got my LN to go through.

The big discovery for me was that Sync and Disco use SS. I wasn't going to pull the report until I saw that.

Interesting, though we already know that Lenders pull more than just the majors when you app. It merely states that the a decision was made based in part/whole by "named" CRA.

I don't mind relevant info being displayed, but we've all ready the stories about how much info is on some of these fringe reporting services.

But sometimes too much info can be dangerous.

It's certainly concerning how much our data gets collected, catalogued, and sold/shared and the hoops we have to go through to find out what that data is.

LexisNexis is buying ID Analytics (parent company of SageStream) so LN reports are about to get even more important.

Years ago I read about them so I ordered my reports and was totally confused. iirc the paper reports for one of them (maybe Innovis) had both branding on it so I could not tell if it was my Innovis or Sagestream report. I ended giving up, freezing both and never looked back since. Its probably time for me to order a fresh round of reports.

I have both permanently frozen as well. With no urge to unfreeze either.

Been that way for several years now.

I was still able to obtain several US bank tradelines.

Synchrony bank, no major issues obtaining their CCs by freezing those reports.

Maybe that's why I have to call in for verification when I do app for one of their CCs now..who knows.

I would rather just get the info and make sure it's accurate. With my income, if the credit card companies feel better seeing more info about me, I don't mind as long as that info is accurate.

If they can't figure out what they need to know about me, from the 300 plus pages the 3 major credit bureaus have on me. I don't want or need their business anyway.😉

Yeah well I still want US Bank and since they got burned in my BK in 2010, I want to make sure that they have all the info they need. I mean I even stopped adding new accounts.

The Secondary reports US bank pulls is mainly for the checking account.

The credit cards can be obtained without them.

Once the CC is obtained. They'll allow the checking account to be opened.

They blocked me from the checking because I have Sagestream frozen.

But after a couple of months with CC.

I was able to open the checking account online without any issues.

People have been declined for cards for freezing ARS and SageStream. People have been declined because of info on those reports. It seems to go back and forth.

I would rather not fuss with it. You can't even order ARS without sending them a letter with your identification, much less freeze it.

I have four open tradelines with US bank.

All of them were obtained with those two CRs frozen.

I've been declined multiple times over the last three years. None of them were because of those reports.

Was this recent? I obtained the majority of mine last year.

It only takes a few minutes to fax the information over needed to freeze the report. I used Faxzero to do it over my computer.

I swear there are more but that site is annoying to search through since they make new posts instead of updating old ones.

I haven't had great luck with those eFax type services. I used one to submit documentation to BECU and I had to re-fax things that it gave me confirmations for.

It's fine. If US Bank says no a third time, I'll write them off for good but either way I'm not doing heavy amounts of credit seeking these days because my reports are going to be clean and I like seeing that 780 I have on TU. I have made it my mission to break into 800s before the year is out if I can.
