Credit Report

I am lost. Need some understanding.

Equifax removed 90% of my accounts and added an old collection back to my report. My report looks like I barely have any credit history. I have been working on my credit for the last year or so. What is that about? Can someone explain?

There were 4 collections that were two years old.

Open accounts - 8 student loans that were in good standing ( currently making payments). And some credit cards that are 6 months or older.

And quite of bit of closed accounts.

Speculation based on no data provided. Account removed is a closed account ~10 years old from closed date?

If current/active accounts are missing, it may be a split file. Best bet is to call Equifax to have them investigate and correct. If you have a copy of a recent, complete EQ report, it'd be helpful. You're also going need a lot of patience.

Most likely split, or software related. Another DP the other day, solved with phone call.

Okay, and so now those accounts are missing but an old collection was re-inserted?

I spoke with someone at Equifax, they stated all my accounts are still showing and that its Credit Karma with the error. I have asked them to send me a copy of my report.

$1 you can obtain your 3 bureau FICO 8 reports at Experian.com or creditchecktotal.com. Cancel in 7 day or less to avoid the re-occurring monthly charge.

You are entitled to one free credit report each year from www.annualcreditreport.com.

Well, you can pull your comprehensive EQ report from annualcreditreport.com (it's free to pull once per year) and it's the same report you'll receive by mail from EQ - -- just in a PDF version which you can print (or save to your computer). At least you'll have confirmation.

If what the EQ rep has advised is true, then that's very good as CK will probably correct themselves quickly.
