Not sure if this is the right place but just wanted to let people know that the chase credit journey is now your experian score not transunion

---update - ok well my friends is still powered by TU but mine is now powered by experian----weird.

I noticed this too. I thought for sure it was TU before, because the graph that shows the score changes over time, shows my old TU scores.

I just pulled mine and it's still TU here. I sure am glad I have 19 companies that give me my TransUnion Vantage 3 score, just so I can "make sure they all match" each week. Yeah something like that. EX would be a welcome change.

Thanks for the really good info! Mine is still TU, unfortunately, however they may be in the process of making the change. As stated upthread, it would be a welcome change to be able to receive your EX VS as I do not believe there is any other place to easily obtain it, and the market seems to be saturated with TU VS 3 info. You can sign up for Credit Journey even if you're not a Chase customer. I hope mine changes to the new format as well. Enjoy your new scoring model!

You can get your EX Vantage 3.0 for free from credit.com. But you can only pull it once every 14-30 days. They seem to keep changing the time limit on me so not sure what the current rule is. They used to show this screwy National Equivalence Score alongside the Vantage score but they got rid of that a while ago.

NICE! Just signed up in like 60 seconds, didn't even need SSN or last 4 for that matter. Looks like it's within a few points of my other VS3 scores (not that they matter, but still nice to see.) Pretty neat! Thanks for the tip!

Except you are getting VS3 scores from Credit Journey, and FICO scores from Experian's website. VS3 scores are pretty close to meaningless. The score on the EX site is the one that matters.

Mine has trasferred over to the Experian version of Vantage Score. A couple of observations on it that I have below.

-I check the Experian FICO regularly and the accounts the are list in Experian VS are the same ones. For instance I've added to Experian FICO utility reporting. Those same accounts show up as part of Experian FICO.

-The number of credit pulls under Transunion VS that I had was 2. That number under Experian VS is 10, the same as my Experian FICO report.

-The credit file is sequenced from last updated first. I had an account that reported May 17th so that was the very first to list and one that is due to report on May 25th is at the bottom of the stack. Didn't do that before with TU VS.

-Experian had always left out a LOC I had with a local community bank. Now its left out in Credit Journey so my utilization dropped from 9% to 6% overnight.

My guess is credit journey is going to update a lot quicker than before as Experian usually had alerts on changes to my credit profile in less than a week, not 3 or 4 as sometimes the case with Transunion. Chase must have liked Experian's more through reporting to make a decision to go with them.

Yup, just checked mine and it’s powered by Experian. Thanks for the info. What would be a real plot twist is, if we all woke up one day and lenders had switched to Vantage 3.0. That would shake everything up.

Wish I had read this thread before late last night, when I logged into the app and noticed the entirely new Experian setup. Well, on a plus side as reported, it's alot more involved with alot more report data in the Credit Journey app now. On the downside as also mentioned, man it shows even more Inquiries and other things that TU did not. It's great to see it but, I feel like Chase has that much more of a look into my soul.
