So it seems Equifax decided to NOT report over 50% of my report!!! Hence most of my long standing positive accounts are well, not being counted so the score is suffering.. I called and they seem to blame it on the "banks" however that is a crock considering just HOW many we are talking about.. I checked with the lenders and they are 100% reporting to equifax every month, Equifax is just deciding to ignore it..

what can I do here?? Neither side seems to be willing to work with me other then blame the other

It sounds possibly like you may be experiencing what's referred to as a split file, a semi-common occurrence with EQ. It's been said the best way to rectify that situation is to call and specifically tell the EQ CSR you believe you may have a split file. They should know what you are talking about and be able to assist you with correctly merging your information once again. Someone with more experience on the matter may chime in and have more specific advice for you, but that may be a good place to start. Good luck on getting your accounts all back reporting properly again, and let us know the outcome in case your situation can assist any other members in a similar situation.

Well lately my issue is, getting them on the phone... they ask 4 security questions before they give a person and mine seem to not have ANYTHING to do with me what so ever, so therefore I Can not answer them and they basically hang up on me.

It sounds like you did get through to them at one point, in your original post you said you spoke with them and that they blamed the issue on the banks. I would try and use whatever method worked to get you through to a live EQ rep that first time you spoke with them.

Out of curiosity, do you have a generational designation (Sr., Jr., III, etc.) in your name or a common name? That could possibly explain both the split file and the security questions not seeming to make sense.

If they don't correct the errors this time file a dispute with the CFPB, but only file the dispute after you've ensures your Lexis Nexus report is accurate and you gave Equifax another opportunity to correct the errors.

Equifax will have 60 days to respond after you file a CFPB dispute. Expect them to take most of it.
