Third party for supplemental information?

I dont know the process of an Auto Loan due to the fact that Ive never had one and at the moment I am in the process of removing 3 AUTO INQs from TU. Ive never seen third party for supplemental information on any of credit reports until now and on TU.

"In addition to the information maintained in the above credit report, TransUnion will occasionally contact a third party for supplemental information in connection with a particular transaction in response to a request from a particular customer. Listed below is the supplemental data that TransUnion obtained from such third parties, as well as the name(s) of theTransUnion customer for whom it was obtained."
