New AmEx Reporting

In the past, I've always known new AmEx to report around the 3nd or 3rd statement cut, but my dad got a new AmEx Cash Magnet about a month ago and the first statement cut on Monday, December 14 and it reported to all three bureaus the same day.

Has anyone else experienced this? When did they start doing this?

My wife got a new AmEx Cash Magnet back in January and it didn't report until April.

This is interesting. I didn't know that amex doesn't usually report right away. Following this since I just opened a new amex & haven't had my first statement cut yet.

Opened my Platinum on 11/12, had one partial statement period close 11/21. Next one closes 12/21. The card still has not reported for me.

Hi @FalconSteve ,

I received my 1st AMEX card about 2 months ago. My 2nd statement should generate tomorrow but the account has yet to report to the credit bureaus.

I got mine in July and it didn't report until after two statements.
