Why is my Transunion score that's connected to my Capital One account, accessed through their Creditwise updated faster than what I see on this myFICO site? It seems as though the scores connected to my bank cards and that are free, update a lot faster than on this site. Which score is valid?

@Anonymous The scores you get from MyFico are the ones used by 90% of lenders. The scores you recieve weekly from creditwise at capitalone are Vantage 3.0 scores AKA "Fako Scores"

The Creditwise score has more accurate, updated information and this site doesn't. For example, I paid off all my credit cards and that's reflected on my Creditwise score however it's not reflected on my scores on this site. Why?

@Anonymous Myfico updates once a month....all 3 bureaus with premier package. Creditwise updates once a week with only TU. I find the information and overall layout of Myfico to be far superior than that of creditwise. But everyone is different.

Which subuscription do you have?

I have the FICO advance package and my score just updated on here about an hour ago. However, my score on Creditwise is 36 points higher than what I'm seeing on here??!!

@Anonymous As I stated above, The 2 sites you are referring to each use a different scoring models. Myfico uses the "Fico" scoring model whereas creditwise uses the "Vantage 3.0" model. While they both use the same information in your credit file one may give more weight to certain things than the other resulting in your scoring differences.

Fico is the scoring model most used by lenders. Vantage is a competing scoring model that not many lenders use.

You can find more complete explanations in this very forum by searching "differences between vantage and fico" or going to "Understanding Fico Scoring"

I understand the differences between the scoring models, and that the FICO score used here is the one lenders use, which is why I decided to subscribe to this site. I was a bit concerned about this site not updating my score as fast as the free sites however I did notice that even though my overall score increased on this site, due to updated payments I made to my credit cards, that's the only one that's updated. My other scores for auto, mortgage and bankcard have not updated, they still are not reflecting the score increase so maybe those scores won't update for another month?
