Is it impossible to see my own “Fico Insurance Score?”

I want to pay to see my real "credit-based insurance score" that auto insurers use for setting rates but I can't find anywhere that this is possible. I don'te see the "FICO Insurance Score" listed on any of the myFICO packages, and I've reached out to Equifax and they are no help either. Seems like they intentionally act like they don't understand my question.

Or if that's not possible, can someone buy their own "Equifax Inflection Score" or "LexisNexis Attract Auto 5.0" score?

Unfortunately I don't think we as consumers have access to those scores anywhere.

Some insurance companies can provide you with your insurance score when running a quote. Keep in mind, your score can vary depending on the company as different companies weigh certain things more than others.

Some insurance agents can provide you with your insurance score when quoting, depending on the company. Some companies allow agents to see it, some don't. Keep in mind that all insurance companies have different criteria when determining rate and weigh certain things differently. While one company may give you their best rate another may not, even though they see the same info.

LexisNexis did make their Attract Auto and Attract Home scores available directly to consumers for several years, but they stopped around 2018/2019. (A real shame - it was about $12 per report/score, and the included score reasons were very detailed.)

I'm not aware of a consumer source for Equifax/Verisk Inflection, or for any of the FICO insurance products.

But you can get Transunion TrueRisk Auto via CreditKarma:

You may or may not be able to get the score used by a particular company via an agent during quoting, but even if you do, they may not be aware of the CRA or model/range being used.

I have wondered this too. I think an agent can give you one...whether they "will" give you the information is a different story. I tried to get one for my homeowners insurance but the agent didn't provide it.

Not anymore - LexisNexis dropped consumer sales of Attract Home at the same same as Auto, and CreditKarma stopped making the Transunion Home CBIS available in June 2019, leaving just Auto.

As with Auto, it might be possible to get Home score info from your insurance agent, but results will be highly variable.

BTW, the LexisNexis Attract Score Reason Code list (very detailed) is still available online:

...including this bit of text left over from when they still sold the scores to consumers:

"...FCRA does not require a Consumer Reporting Agency to disclose to a consumer any information concerning insurance scores to the consumer.

However, LexisNexis Risk Solutions, the leading provider of insurance scores, believes information regarding insurance scores and reason codes is valuable to consumers and offers our LexisNexis® Attract™ insurance score, along with a credit report, on personalreports.lexisnexis.com at a charge."

Sadly, they no longer appear to believe this is valuable...
