Dispute a closed credit card with late payment history not reporting for one year?

I have a closed credit card account about a year ago. It has some late payment history. They stopped reporting to the 3 bureaus 10 months ago. If they are not reporting, does that mean if I dispute the account they probably will not reaffirm? My intention is to remove the late payment history included with the account. Any thoughts? My thinking is if they are not reporting maybe they do not care enough to reaffirm.

I would not dispute they will just start updating again, leave it be .
