@Anonymous Did you ever get this resolved?

I’ve had this same issue since January 2022. My Fico keeps refunding me because it says it can't get my file? I called equifax and they say creditors can see my file fine and I should be able to see it soon. I can see my creditors if I go to the dispute page but otherwise is shows zero accounts when I'm on the equifax website looking at my report. It's been two weeks since I called and noticed this glitch. I still can't even order a report from annual credit report.com. I tried applying at truist just now and they can't verify me and I know this is the issue. I research on here and have read some people get a split file. I'm on hold with equifax now and will be asking for a supervisor to help with this.

I'm not sure what to do about this but after disputing two accounts that were reporting inaccurate balances my entire credit report from equifax is gone. The most recent LOC being reported is from 2017 and my mortgage from 2016. I'm in the same house with same lender and it's not being updated. Plus I have several open trade lines, credit cards, and of course student loans that have just disappeared. I'm worried bc we are trying to purchase a new house and I'm not sure what to do. I've reached out three times, tried disputing it-I was told by a rep that everything is there and she offered to send me the most recent version of my credit report. She ran through the various items and confirmed the recent accounts and activity on those accounts. I asked her why it's not being reported on the My Equifax app to which she had answer. I'm trying to get my most recent fico 8 and mortgage scores. Something else that's odd, I ordered the three bureau report from MyFICO today and my mortgage score for Equifax went up 40 pu but fico 8 went down 15 pts and NOTHING shows up on that report after 2017. Weird.

Hi there, so sorry to hear this. Have you ordered your credit report from annualcreditreport.com? That will be the most complete version of your report you can receive. Please check there and see if anything is missing from your report.

First, I totally agree with @Junejer's suggestion. I would also add that Equifax is particularly incompetent. Like awful. At everything. I wouldn't be surprised if its just an internal glitch on their part. However the mortgage score (Fico 5 I think?) could definitely have such an upward move because its algorithm looks for entirely different things.

Sounds like the app isn't updating properly. Check your real credit report, annual credit report.com and verify the data. If it shows there, your good because that's what your lender sees, not the data on your app.

Yes! This was eventually resolved. I called and they said the same thing "creditors can see my most recent credit profile" but I stressed that I couldn't and needed access to it more than creditors. They said they'd send me an updated credit report and would get it fixed. Not sure when it was a fixed (3-4 was after I called and complained) but it eventually went back to normal. Just stay on them. It will be corrected.

@Anonymous Thank you so much for responding! I called and asked to speak with a supervisor after I commented here. Apparently for my situation they had an internal block on my file and the supervisor surmised it was because they had a suffix on my name so weird. My name was right but at the end is said "Sr." which being a woman makes it even more weird. The only reason I can think, besides fraud, is my husbands name has "Sr." on the end of it. I was thinking that maybe when opening a bank account the other year they mixed it up because we have never applied for credit jointly.
The fix for this is a long one. I have to send in a copy of social security card, my DL and a cover letter stating the reason for dispute.

      #1: remove internal block

#2: remove suffix to fix my legal name

We all know this can take up to 30 days once they receive all my info. I sent it priority Mail the next day(yesterday) so here's to hoping they have it fixed my next month. My scores have never been better and I am anxious to apply for a PenFed account and credit card and a Truist card. This is killing me having to sit on my hands. Probably a good thing though.

My scores in May of last year, which I had been ignoring for 10 or so years(medical bills) were at 436 for Fico9 through Apple and 420 something for experian Fico 8. And I know they were lower in January of last year(2021) when I authorized sezzle to start reporting to the credit bureaus since I had amassed a $4k credit line with them by buying and paying off early each month. Experian score as of Nov 21(539),Dec 21 (687), Jan 22(728),Feb 3, 2022(733) and February 7th (718) yikes my Victoria's Secret card reported on the 5th and I just got it January 9th so I didn't know when the statement cut date was. I paid it off on the 2nd of February and it cut on the 1st(FUDGED UP my utilization THIS MONTH). THERES always next month when all my crap with Equifax is in order.

I know that last but if info had nothing to do with the Original subject but I just had to let it out why I'm so excited to app for two cards! Thanks for listening.

If anyone else has this issue, talk

to a supervisor first. It will save time. The guy I spoke with was articulate and super helpful. I couldn't believe I didn't have any issues my second time calling in, especially reading some of the Equifax horror stories on MyFico.

@Anonymous No it wasn't resolved by speaking to the supervisor and sending in my stuff, in fact I never heard back. In my case I went and disputed the suffix on my name online(after the above steps I took) and then two days later when they had fixed that online I called in again. I never asked to speak with a supervisor this time but I explained to the lady on the phone what was going on, that I couldn't see my score, or my reports and I couldn't order my report from annual credit report . Com. ( side note: After she sent me a text that sent a link to upload my ID and a picture of myself next

to my ID and apparently they use a type of face recognition software that oks the Id and photo you send in and allows the representative to talk to you since they affirm you are the person you say you are) She put me on hold and fixed it with the It department while I was on the phone. Took about 20 minutes but she had me

log in and magically I could see

my score! I couldn't see my report yet but she said it could take a few days. I ended up being able to see my report an hour or so after the call.

Give equifax a call and tell them you can't see your report or score and you need them to fix it while you are on the phone. Hope this helps!

This happened to me years ago. I was told I probably had a split file. I didn't pursue it, as I had a ton of negs and was overwhelmed in general. FF to 2017 when I bought a car. My TU and EXP were pretty bad, but EQ didn't even generate a score at all. Totally empty. However, thanks to new accounts, I now have a history with EQ. 🤷
