Is there a way for someone to check their credit score without them having an ssn? Credit Karma asks for it.

As, far i know no as your SSN is attached to your Credit Report and that is required to find it with most major Credit Bureaus

What about when you signup for a bank account, and the app has a built in credit score checker.

These 3rd party Fico Score profiles within the bank app utilize the same credit profile data (i.e. SSN, ITIN) that you had to provide to your bank.

Keep in mind that some of these services may not offer true Fico Scores, but instead offer VantageScore (i.e. FAKO).

Not possible AFAIK. Your ssn is the primary identifier to locate the file in question. The additional personal information such as name, address, DOB just matches or adds new information to the said SSN identifier and credit file. IMHO

And the scores seen in online banking or with checking accounts have submitted (with your consent) the same information to locate your file and provide the information/data to you.
