Amex live chat missing

I've not had to use the feature since a couple of months ago, but I cannot find the live chat option either on the app or site. Has anyone else noticed this? Also, moderators, I did search for this topic and couldn't find a recent posting, but if I missed it, please move query there.

If like many issuers they are moving to "HAL 9000" from live chat

@SPChaserTry it on your phone, AMEX app. It worked for me couple of days ago!

It was only half a joke, two of my issuers have chat go to a computer, not a person.

If I could not find the answer in the web page search why ask the same computer in a chat box?

It kind of makes the chat option not a real thing.

It's there for me on the website, on their 'Contact Us' page, about halfway down; I haven't tried the app. There's no link to copy because it pops up a window within your existing page, sorry.

I'm glad it's back.

Me too. One of Amex's best features other than 3x CLIs lol. That way it pays to experience other cc issuers because I thought Chase was it until I had the pleasure of using Amex's chat feature. Not that I have or know of all of what the other banks are offering, it has to be one of the best customer service options out there amongst the premium cards.
