opened new CC, regret it ..options?

I applied for the APPLE CARD/GS BANK, I got it with 2000 CL and a HP on TU. Jul 08, 2022 I used up about $350 and recently paid it down to $45.

I soon realised I could of gone after a much better card since I got a NFCU account last month, did a pledge loan paid back, and pre-qualified for all the cards including the Flagship one.

Should i attempt to close this card and ask the creditor to remove it from my credit report and go fater a much better card?

EQ: 788 / TU: 745 / EX 776

You have opened the account and it exists. Closing it will not remove it from your credit report.

Use it and enjoy it.

If you'd like another card, apply for whatever you'd like.

Once you apply for a card. Even if you dont or do activate it on arrival. It will still show up on your reports and everything that goes with it stays. No they wont remove it. Its not pick and chose. But hold on to it. Helps build your file. When it comes to "fater" cards. Dont know your file. So it will be tough to say.

One thing that you might keep in mind, NFCU's Pre-qualify tool is notoriously inaccurate.

Also The Flagship is the toughest of the bunch to Qualify for.

I would not recommend that as a first choice. Much stricter UW guidelines.

Many have been denied for the Flagship as their first card.
