      <title>Random WF Hard Inquiry?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I started getting alerts this morning that WF Card Services hard pulled my credit this morning. So I immediately checked on the experian website and sure enough it was pulled this morning. I called WF customer service and after talking to several people they told me that they had no record of why it was pulled and I should dispute it with the credit bureau. Why would I have to dispute it with the credit bureau if it was there mistake. Does anyone know a number I could call to get ahold of someone to get this resolved?&amp;nbsp; If this is in the wrong section please move it. Thank You&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yeah, I think your best bet is to dispute it with the credit bureus, they will then contact Wells Fargo (who has no reason for the inquiry), or at least if they do, you will learn why and if not they will take it off.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Good luck!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Don't start off with filing disputes with the credit bureaus.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;A brief outline of what you probably should do:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Wait until tomorrow and get a copy of your Experian report ( a report via annualcreditreport.com is fine) to confirm that the inquiry is still being reported.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;If so, contact Wells Fargo again and tell them that Experian is reporting an inquiry and you want to know why as you had not applied for credit.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Jot down the date/time/phone #&amp;nbsp;of the call, and get names if you can of whomever it is you speak to.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If WF admits to having made an error or they claim that they did not pull your report you will then file a complaint in writing with the FDIC.       <description>&lt;P&gt;So aliite update. I checked my report again this morning and the inquiry was still there so I called Wells Fargo back but this time I called the number listed on the inquiry. After talking to a few different people I got ahold of someone who said he would do some digging on it and call me back. After a few hours he called me back and told me what happen is that when I had my propel card hacked last week they cancelled it and sent me a new card but before they sent out the new card they were suppost to soft pull my credit to verify information and instead it was coded wrong and ended up a hard pull.&amp;nbsp; He told me the easiest way to fix it would be to dispute it with the credit bureau and when they went to verify it they would see the notes on the account and see it was a mistake and fix it. So I called experian and explained it to them and now waiting on there respose to go any further.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;What the WF rep should have done was to engage internally within WF to have the inquiry withdrawn.&amp;nbsp; What they proposed was the easiest solution for them personally but not for you.&amp;nbsp; Be sure to stay very much on top of this.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you don't get notification from Experian by 12/19, which is the 1st business day more than 31 days from today, that the inquiry has been withdrawn the next proposed step is to again pull your Experian report to emperically confirm whether or not the inquiry is still reporting.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the inquiry is still reporting immediately file an FDIC complaint against Wells Fargo.&amp;nbsp; The FDIC would open an investigation for which Wells Fargo would be compelled to respond within 30 days the result of their internal investigation and the steps taken to remediate their error.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Dispute won't work as mentioned with CRA as will report as factual.&amp;nbsp; WF needs to recode this as a SP it is easy enough for them to do with the CRA&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I kinda had a feeling they were trying to get me to take it up with someone else so they didn't have to deal with it. If experian comes back verified I guess I will just file a complant to get it taken off. The guy on the phone said I should get a response on my experian account within 48 hrs but the email said by Dec 15. I didn't think WF was like this.&amp;nbsp; I may end up closing the account and moving on after it gets fixed.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I recieved a survay for one of my calls to wells fargo last night. I put on there what happen and I was considering closing my accounts and today I recieved a call from a manager at Wells fargo. She told me she listened to the calls from the 4 different agents I talk to. She looked into the problem and said she would get it fixed that it was clearly a mistake and that one of the people I talked to should have known to get me to a manager in&amp;nbsp; the credit department to take care of the issue and not told me to call experian. So hopefully it will be fixed now.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
