If they won't accept copies of your bank statements showing regular deposits you can ask if they'd (also?) accept a copy of your 2022 1040 filing that you obtained via an IRS 4506-T request. Even though at this point it's a year out it can reinforce a trend of generating income and people generally don't deliberately overstate income on their tax returns

I receive cash income and need to provide proof of income for renting an apartment. What alternative options can I explore to meet the landlord's requirement for bank statements?

What alternative options can I explore to meet the landlord's requirement for bank statements?

I recieve 90% of my income in cash. Usually they will ask for your bank statements and if you've been trying keep some cash, your deposits may not reflect your actual income. In this scenario, you can explain you keep some cash around and they may accept that with a deposit. However, in most cases if your bank deposits don't meet their requirements you may have to try somewhere else.

In my experience with cash, I started to keep my own spreadsheet to track my income, everything I made that day, not what was deposited into the bank. This has helped alot, as I've been able to print the summary page of this spreadsheet as proof of income. This may not always be the case, but I made a 100k+ credit purchase using this method.

In short, give them your bank statements and let them know you keep some cash, sometimes the truth will open doors. In the future, keep a record of your cash earnings
