Home improvement loan with Upgrade

Hi,

Im having my kitchen and first level of my townhome updated. Modern Kitchens USA is the company handling the updates. I was approved for ~28.7k @4.99% for 60 months. I made a -6k down payment to MK. Upgrade will let me know when the contractor request funds and I approve them. I set up auto pay for additional .5% off the IR. No pentalty for pre payments. I've never dealt with upgrade but I did like the terms. My questions are will the loan show on my CR as a Home Improvement loan? Anything else I should know about this loan, that I forgot to ask? They pulled TU. Thank you .

They're often classified as a CFA (Consumer Finance Account)

Just pay the bills on time and put the money to good use! If you can increase your property value with the remodel, it could turn into a good investment.

Just a quick update: I applied for this Home Improvement Loan from Upgrade in Nov 2025. The work began in January 2026 and finished in March 2026. My first payment was scheduled in May of 2026. Today, I checked all 3 credit reports, and this loan reports as a Mortgage/Real Estate Loan with no adverse actions. On the contrary, AMEX continues to send me promotions for their personal loans 😂😂😂😂
