I paid it off and chose not to activate it.&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Apparently they didn't close it. When I checked in January to see if it closed,&nbsp; there was a service charge of $4 in November and December that were late.&nbsp; I have alerts on and never received notice that it was past due. I have all my bills on autopay, but their system canceled it after i paid it off. Interesting how they didn't charge me a late fee of $35 for either month.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Several years of building up my credit was destroyed by $8. It dropped 102 points after i built it up to 782. Best Egg said, sorry, those cancellation notices are system generated.&nbsp;</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>I told them that is misleading and fraudulent behavior. I took the letter as being legit and that they would cancel it.&nbsp; I filed a report in the bureaus hoping I can get this fixed.
