I am trying to get my scores up higher before we close on our home on 16 July 2007 so maybe I can get a better interest rate but it seems like I keep getting sent backwards again. I have no recent late pays but the chargeoffs we have that should be dated in 2001 are dated in 2003 or 2004 and have numerus late pays that have it listed as being late from my last payment on 12/01/2001 and going for about 4 months and then they just updated again and I have not payed on it since 12/01/2001 We were fighting with them because my insurance was supose to make the payments and we went from a balance of 261.00 to owing 1400.00 is what they have listed on our CR. I also have them listed as LVNV Funding and WAMU I did have an account with Providian which is also listed I think all 3 of these are the same account but the CRA keep telling me that they have verified and updated and they will remain until 2010 that dont sound right. What can I do to get this taken care of. I dont mind paying the 261.00 that we put on the card but my insurance should had been there like we paid for. I noticed that Povidian did get into trouble for that a while back. Can some one please help me I am so desperate to take care of our CR. Sorry for the long post.

What did the Insurance Company do? Did they pay some? All? None? Why. Can you tell us more about the Debts that are owed. Sometimes insurance companies and creditors are part of the same group, the lenders must obey the insurance companies and not bill you. However if unaffiliated you may be responsible regardless of insurance. It has been many years since this happened. There should be people to ask at the insurance company what the outcome was and why. I would need more information about your situation before jumping to a conclusion. In most cases you can not ignore a debt because it was not your responsibility. Please give us more details.

I had a CC with Providian and had a balance on it of 261.00 well I was paying for insurance on the card through Providian and when I got injured and out of work I requested the paper work and Providian told me that they did not handle that the insurance company did and I requested the contact infor for them since Providian is where I got the insurance and they said they did not have that information available. There for I had no way to pay the bill and it went to charge off status (keep in mind most of the 261.00 was late fees) They closed the account and said I owed 261.00 now it is with LVNV funding and listed as WAMU so it is on our reports 3 times Collection and 2 Charge offs. The Credit Bureau is telling me that they verified and will not delete any of them and FICO is using the 1400.00 balance when figuring my CC dept. Which brings my scores down. LVNV, WAMU nor Providian will remove any information and on top of that after I filed a dispute that they were duplicates of each other they updated and now I have a ton of late pays listed from the 12/01/2001 thru 5/14/2007 so I have lord only knows how many l20 day late pays that looks like it was recent baddies. Can anyone help me with this matter I am so desperate to take care of this I was told buying a home exciting but so far I am stressed just trying to take care of the CRA that it is not funny.
