This is awesome but very weird.
Homecomings (Mortgage part of GMAC) has denied all of my GW letters for 4 30 dates and ignored my requests to properly report the balance.

I disputed the balance with EQ on 7/31 as it was off 3K.

Here is what happened-
All 3 now both show as disputed status,
EX - "Disputed by Subscriber" Erlier this week WIPED all of the lates, and updated the balance.
EQ today- WIPED all the lates, updated the balance

TU updated the balance but the lates remain.

As they are still marked with a dispute status I do not know what effect it has on my score - but I am exited to find out.

What do you think of Homecomings? I've had about 4 different home lenders. So far Homecomeings has been one of the better ones. Sometimes they report very late. But at least they aren't hounding you on the 2nd or 3rd day of the month for payment like Wells Fargo does..
I have had a great experience with them.

They NEVER call- and recently updated their website so I can set the date for the payment w/o any fee.

They JUST started reporting timely- previously they ran 3 months behind. They report to all three and "Accurate" on the payment history.

I have 15 days w/o a late fee and can be 29 days until reported late.

Having them "accidentally" remove these lates makes me even happier.

I wouldn't mind keeping Homecomings.. But it is a high interest band aid loan. Do they do any other loans besides sub prime? I should be able to get a good rate in the next year...
