seriously... where do I start?

I have several collections...NCO, Aargon, Pinnacle, Midland, to name a few. I hear those are the worst. Should I DV first, PFD, and if DV, do I DV the OC or the CA? My SOL is 6 years and I'm at five... so i'm nervous about being sued. the amounts range from $100-$1300.

I have all of the money now to pay everything off but I want it off of my CR.

Ok, first thing you should do is dispute any inaccuracies. Have you done that?

I know, I know. I need to relax. It's just that i've been reading this forum over and over and I don't know what the best thing to do is.

I have disputed only CA's that were posted for the same item b/c they were resold. Those were fixed. I haven't disputed items like OC's that were CO's listing the wrong date opened. But, what I want to know is... do I dispute everything? I live in another state from where the debt occurred but the original state was Nevada and the SOL is 6 years and right now I'm at 5 and I really don't want to get sued.

I was just given a sum of money to pay this all off so I'm ready to start getting this fixed.

I'm in Nevada and the SOL is 4 years if it's open ended (CC's)

Well there are some restrictions on that but in general it's where you reside. In the OP's case it's where he lives now.

It's the same in Florida? 4 years for credit cards? If so, then I won't feel so bad about PFD'ing. Hey... how did you know Florida?? Anyways, now that i have the money, I am tempted to just pay and get it all over with b/c I don't feel like taking months to wait on PFD letters. But - that is what I should do, right? PFD....

When I was doing PFDs it was pretty quick. It takes time to have them come off your CR if you wait for the CAs but if you get the delete letter from them you can dispute it with the CRAs, send proof of your payment and the delete letter and they will remove it.

How quickly did they respond? I know the CA's I have to deal with are horrible. Pinnacle called me once and threatenend me and kept yelling at me to get my checkbook. I am so scared to deal with them. This happened about a year ago... before I knew about this site. I changed my phone # after that...

I sent my letters off and within a couple weeks had everything paid and started disputing.

when you say had everything paid... you mean you sent PFD letters and they agreed to PFD? Then you disputed with OC's? Or you paid and then disputed?

Paid the CA. Disputed with the CRAs. Sent them proof of payment and the delete letter the CA gave me.
