I plan to keep the Delta card I'll probably just upgrade it to a Platinum. I will be applying for a Clear though, much better card than the Blue I think.

For those of you who have the card, how long did it take until AMEX began reporting to the CRAs?

took them a month.

a side note: I'd convert that card to Blue Cash--no annual fee, lower interest rate
Prime card, and cashback. plus it looks really cool.

I applied already. I was turned down because earlier that day Pallisades put 2 BS collections on my EX report. I was a 679 prior to that. The denial letter gave me 3 reasons and all were collection related. I have no other collections on my report besides the bogus ones. I have a week or so left until I file my lawsuit against them in small claims court. I plan to request a recon once I get the bogus collections off.

I know your scores are in the 700 range rifle.....you should be able to get a clear no problem.

Possibly---but for now I am not going for any more cards--If I get anything else it will keep bringing down my average account age. I got 3 new cards in the last 3 months, and it cut my average age down to 4 years from 6--so I lost points for that. In time I know I'll gain them back, but I want my credit as high as it can be ASAP, so I can't open any new accounts.

I understand.....maybe they would convert your Blue to a clear? Can't hurt to ask, esp with the 0 fees and low APR the Clear offers.

they might, but honestly I don't really want clear because I don't plan on ever carrying a balance so the no fees, low interst thing doesn't appeal to me as much and I'd rather earn cash...

If I had other cards with balances needing transferring then I might consider a clear because I could float some debt with zero interest for awhile, but that's not my situation

For your purpose the Blue is probably a better bet. It actually has a better APR than the Clear....Prime +4.99 vs Prime +5.99. The Blue also offers more cash back than the Clear. I like the 0% for 12mo vs 6mo with the Clear though and the no fees. I should clarify my earlier statement.....the Clear is a better choice for me
