Save your money. With a CRO, you might luck out and they won't screw things up too bad. In that case, you'll lose some money for doing things you coulda done yourself. Generally speaking, the CRO will make things worse, and that will REALLY cost you a lot of money.

Save your money! They are doing nothing that you cannot do yourself. Not to mention, they WILL do more harm than good. To start with, the CRA can effectively tell them to go to he** when they dispute:

QUOTE(FCRA)

(G) Exclusion of credit repair organizations. This paragraph shall not apply if the notice of the dispute is submitted by, is prepared on behalf of the consumer by, or is submitted on a form supplied to the consumer by, a credit repair organization, as defined in section 403(3), or an entity that
would be a credit repair organization, but for section 403(3)(i).

Also, there's an act that regulates credit repair organizations.

I understand the time issue all too well. But here the CRO is not a shortut it is dangerous and costly.

DO NOT USE THEM. My husband signed up with them like 2 years ago and they took like $30.00 a month from him. They offer this money back guarantee after a year of service if they don't fix your credit but it is a sham because they didn't do anything to improve his credit and when he asked for his money back they denied him because he stopped paying them. He had to learn the hard way and ended up being out of like $300. Absolutely do not use Lexington Law!!!!!

I agree with everyone else, these credit repair orgs. are charging insane amounts of money for things you can do yourself if you put the time into researching how to fix your credit yourself. I hope this helps.

Think of it this way: if a company is charging you a monthly fee for its services, what incentive does it have to do anything for you quickly?

While I agree, now that I know better, that you can accomplish the same things yourself more effectively, my experience going back almost 4 years with them was quite different than others are reporting here. They knocked it out of the park for me. A large number of positive changes. The wind started to change direction when I started getting letters to validate my identity from the CRA's. I think they are getting tighter all the time and thus CRO's are going to continually become less effective. But for a few years there I was seeing staggering changes, so I have no beef with them. In fact, I am very happy with the service I received.

True enough. I just continually see Lexington get beat up on and that wasn't my experience at all. Maybe I was lucky? To be clear though, that was then. With the knowledge I have now I am an advocate for handling your own business. But still I don't understand the "more harm than good" part I keep seeing referenced with CRO's, so maybe someone can fill me in. The CRA can dismiss as frivolous, but I've redisputed successfully in the past. What else can happen? What is the risk?

I have used them and love them as of today I have 40 items deleted. About 3 months or so I got my first unsured credit card and it was because of them. I still use them and hope in another 3 months I can cancel with them. I never keeped track of my scores. I do know it has gone up.

I have just signed up with myfico and love it also. They use my reports from this place and also talk highly of it. I hope soon to have a lot higher score.

I have been counting the number of deletes that some of the people state they have been getting through LLF in these postings. The results appear to be almost unbelievable. I hearing individuals getting 20,30,40 deletes over years time frame. I don't have that many accounts, let alone negatives, is this really true? Has anyone had those kind of results on your own? Are these people just LLF plugs trying to get us to sign up? Is there any truth to this? Please tell me they are making this up.

I think it is time put a lock on this thread-

The discussions in this tread are moving closer and closer to Credit Repair talk.

Lexington law is a "Credit Repair Organization" as defined by FCRA and FTC

Thank you for your cooperation !!!!!!!!!!!
