FICO! DOes this make sense to anyone?

Your FICO score has gone up to 699 on August 31, 2007.

Your FICO score may have gone up because the following 2 factors are not hurting your FICO score as much as before:

You’ve recently missed a payment or the date of your most recent payment is unknown.
You’ve recently missed a payment or the date of your most recent payment is unknown

Wouldn't the score go down instead?

No, it does not make sense. I keep having the opposite problem with my score going down when I have done nothing wrong! I am starting to think that there is something very wrong with Score Watch and Fico in general.

Maybe it means that although you've "recently" missed a payment, it aged a bit and is no longer TOO recent?

Thanks for the input guys. The thing is I have not missed any payments. All my accounts are fully funded. Very weird.

In that case, I would check with the creditor and chase it down. Any ex-spouses out there with a joint card or account? Even something real old that you might have forgotten about? Sounds like you'll have to dispute it. Or is it the case that there are no delinquencies even reported anywhere? In that case, maybe the CRA might be able to tell you where the late payments came from. There are some great dispute letters on this site to use as examples, if you have a creditor to aim one at. They're saying that enough time has elapsed since your last late payment that it's no longer affecting your credit score negatively. How long ago was your last late payment on ANY account?

At least yours goes up for no good reason. Mine either goes down for no good reason or fails to move at all when there is a good reason.
