My Equifax report showed two collections that had the creditor's name coded like that. But when I purchased the TU and EX reports, they both gave me the real name and address and phone number of the collection agency. I don't know why the Equifax doesn't show it.

I would dispute as "not mine" If they don't have the info posted on the CR then they obviously may not have the info to contact the creditor. They'll probably delete it.

All they will do is contact the collection agency who will in turn, verify the debt. You will probably have to get a MOV from the CA and they will probably send you the name of the original creditor. If you don't know who the original creditor is or if you've never had an account with them, then you will have a stronger case in dispute.
