Moving onward and upward....

I just wanted to thank everyone for the support over the course of the last few months.

When I signed up for myfico and found this forum on 7/7/07 my FICO's were as follows:

TU 578

EQ 572

EX 593

I received a lot of advice, put it into action and am continuing on my mission to home ownership.

My FICO's as of today 10/21/07 are:

TU 675

EQ 652

EX 644

All of the hard work is paying off and I am quite surprised about how quickly I could improve my scores.

What a beautiful story, busywoman. CONGRATULATIONS! WTG! CUDOS!

You are taking charge of your credit life. You are empowered to do something about it and you are, through your good efforts. And it's paying off wonderfully.

I too was in similar situation back in march. My TU score was 521, when I woke out of my credit coma.

That's excellent to hear! With the help of these forums, I've managed to increase my score nearly 100 points in less than a year. It's always good to hear success stories because it truly shows that what you learn here makes a difference.

My score right now is 571, so somewhat of a simiular experience. I have a collection and credit card tied together that are really hurting my score showing active late payments, and collections, so once they fall off, which will be 2008 or I dispute them, I am guessing this will help my score dramatically. When I look at my credit at a glance on fico, the only NOT good part I have is payment history due to the accounts above. Length of credit history is very good, amount of new credit good, and amount of debt.

I would so love to know how you raised your scores that quickly. When I do my best plan to raise my score it tells me to pay 90% of my accounts and in 2 years my score will be 661-701, which seems depressing, LOL...

Would anyone guess how much my scores will go up once the cc and collection falls off. I only recently opened a car loan and capital one card in June and everything with them is current and will stay current.

Thanks, I will have all cc's paid in full next month and the SW estimator is showing scores around 740 if I do that. We'll see what happens.....

I also have collection accounts I am working on. Some I was able to get deleted so no doubt that helped my score.

I also got a BOA secured Visa cc last November and have made all payments on time as well as increased my CL by depositing more $ into the account. No doubt this also contributed to the increase in my scores.

Appears that we are in the same boat and need to continue to plug away at this by remaining patient while taking positive actions.
