      <description>&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;You look at your credit report and realize that you have a recent collection on there.&amp;nbsp; After you confirm with the OC that the debt has been sold, you DV the CA and dispute with the CRA.&amp;nbsp; The CA validates, and the CRA verifies.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;You then try sending a PFD, but it is ignored.&amp;nbsp; You send another, they respond by saying they will not remove it.&amp;nbsp; What do you do next?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;Wait 6+ years for it to fall off?&amp;nbsp; Wait 3 years for SOL, then re-try?&amp;nbsp; Pretend it's not there, and hope to not get sued?&amp;nbsp; Just pay it off for closure?&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

In her case, she'll just send a PFD every 2 months until something happens; either an acceptance, or (hopefully not) a lawsuit.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In general, I was curious what other people have been doing.       <description>&lt;DIV&gt;When I advise people about disputes &amp;amp; all other things that can be done....I always tell them to check their SOL before beginning anything. That way there are no sudden lawsuits.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;Even a dispute can trigger it. If you dispute, send a DV or anything within SOL they can get ya!&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>
