I do believe that means AMEX is still the owner but hired the CA. The CA has yet to report so that is a good thing. If you can pay this off, right now is time to strike while the iron is hot. In other words if you can get this settled up quickly you will avoid a CA tradeline which would be the double whammy on your report.

Message Edited by Boswd on 11-16-2007 12:25 PM

The letter starts off as:

"Please be advised that American Express has forwarded your account to our agency for collection"

Does this mean that it is still owned by AmEX, or it has been sold to NCO? BTW I only have a derrogatory mark on my account from AmEx, I do not have a TL by NCO. Thanks.

Oh also if you call the CA they have to disclose if they are in sole possesion or if they are collecting on behalf of AMEX.
