You can dispute any incorrect item on your credit report by contatcing the credit reporting agency. If it is correct you may want to contact the credit card company and see if they will remove them item.

As far as the Chapter 7 on your report, most credit applications ask about it anyway so it is a mute point that is shows up on on report rather then all of them.

It will take time, but the best way to repair your credit is pay bills on time and if you dont have any cards, try to get one so you can build your score back up by using it responsably. It took me 5 years to build my credit back up but it will get back up.

There is no quick fix other then time.

Hi, exploder--before you do anything, please do some homework (thread reading) first. Things can blow up on you in a spectacularly ugly way if you don't know exactly what you're trying to do! You could make things worse than they are now. Start with Credit Scoring 101:

http://ficoforums.myfico.com/fico/board/message?board.id=ficoscoring&thread.id=2654

There are also some really good threads dealing specifically with your problems in Frequently Requested Threads. But read Credit Scoring 101 first, because all this stuff ties together.

http://ficoforums.myfico.com/fico/board/message?board.id=ficoscoring&thread.id=5000

After reading these, you should have a pretty good idea of where to start. It would be a shame to go chopping your way through the jungle, when there are already some trails in existence. Post what you're thnking here, and you should get some really useful feedback and encouragement. Good luck!

PS--By the way, one meaning of "credit repair" is paying others to do the work for you, frequently by highly unethical means. In case you get grumped at by someone, that might be why. A lot of times, what you're trying to do is called "cleaning up credit" or "credit rebuilding." Not an issue of political correctness, but of the same term meaning different things to different people.
