I believe you have to call them.
And if you're owed money you have to ask for it back or they'll keep it.

Just curious. Why are you cancelling?
They aren't the best but the ability to pull daily is good to keep track of things.

To check inquiries, make sure things are reporting right, etc. If I need scores I pull them here though that can get expensive. I try to wait for enough major changes before pulling. I do have Scorewatch though to watch my Equifax...though I hate when it says something changed, you buy a report, and see nothing changed.

I use TC all the time to keep track of any changes or deletions. It is EXTREMELY useful when disputing and whatnot to be able to see what's going on. I wait for several changes to occur before paying myfico for scores, just like Eddie. It works great and I pay 11.21 per month because I signed up through Walmart. I plan to keep it for a long time.

The reports are NOT accurate. Ive been disputing an issue with a credit card company that my card hasnt been updated on True Credit since April. And another card which was never put on my report. My credit scores havent changed in almost a year. When viewing an individual credit report for TransUnion I did find that both cards were on my report and being reported monthly. As soon as I found that, not even worrying about the other agencies, I immmediately began looking for a cancellation number which led me to this site. After reading the horror stories about True Credit and the discrepancies I discovered I found a phone number on this site and called to cancel. Im sure customer service was in another country but had no trouble and wasnt even asked why I wanted to cancel. We shall see if this works. in the mean time Im gonna go into my account and remove the credit card I have on file so they cant try to use it if this cancellation was ignored.

Wish me luck.

stay away from true credit. they are horrible. read the blogs to get 2nd opinions. they process your credit card before the free period is up. then when you try to figure out how to cancel the service (before the period ends) there is not place on their website to tell you how to do that. you call the 800 # (hidden on site)

when I spoke to the agent after waiting 6 minutes on hold, she cancelled the account then said the system was updating and I had to wait for another 2 minutes. Then she came back and said the account was cancelled.

2 weeks later I saw a billed for $14.95 on my credit card for the service. I painfully called and went the above AGAIN and they said the account was NEVER closed. I gave them the person's name who helped me and they said they had no record of my calling in to close the account. I was forced to pay the fee again and they said they would close it this time. good LORD. I wrote letters to the company, called Citibank to contest the charge, wrote the authorities, etc..

so stay away from this service. also, note that their FICO scores did not even come close to the ones reported (at the same time) from Experian or Equifax. complete disconnect....

0
