Hello everyone, I visited a creditor and got them to agree to remove the a judgement. They claim that they never officially filed one, since they had recieved payment. I disputed this item before and it came back verified from the bureaus She called the courthouse while I was there and they have no record What forms do I need them to fill out to have this removed, disputing seems to only get it verified. The creditor is willing to write a letter on my behave. I want to make sure that I handle this opportunity properly Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks

I have a letter on letterhead from a creditor stating that they did not file a judgement on me. I sent the letter to Transunion and here's there response: We are unable to accept the documentaion you sent. However TU will contact the source of the disputed information to advise them of your dispute. We will ask them to verify the accuracy of the reported information. When the investigation is completed, you will receive written response and/or copy of your updated credit report to notifyy you of the results. Will they just simply use the same verification method to validate even a correction letter from the creditor and denide me the just removal?

If that is the address on your CR yes! WAIT who is CSC?

This letter is to send to CRAs when a DV is returned!!

Use this letter once you get the green card back:

--

Dear CRA,

I recently attempted to contact a collection agency XXXXXX on my credit report #XXXXXXXX at the address listed on the credit report. The letter I sent via USPS CMRRR has been returned to me undeliverable because the company “forwarding address expired, return to sender”. The CA doesn’t exist in that address mentioned in my Credit report. I have included a copy of both sides of the envelope for your review.

As you are well aware, under 15 U.S.C. § 1681i of the FCRA, as well as numerous other places, you are required by federal law to report only accurate information. You have violated my civil rights by repeatedly reporting inaccurate information when I request my credit report, and when lenders view my report. This is a violation of federal law that I have a right to seek remedy for from the courts as it has caused me damage in how I am viewed by lenders, and terms of loans received.

I demand that within five days of receipt of this letter that the negative trade line associated with this complaint be deleted from my file, as required by the FCRA. If this demand is not met, I will be filing grievances with the Attorney General, and the Federal Trade Commission.

I have included copies of my identifying information to prove my identity. I look forward to an expedient conclusion to this issue.

Sincerely,

Message Edited by HappyDays on 01-04-2008 03:59 PM

CSC credit is who handles Equifax's disputes...but, it depends on where you live. We also had to use CSC...w/ much luck I must say! If you are on Equifax's website and you try to use the "dispute" link it will prompt you to put in your zip code...the zip code determines who will handle your dispute..in our area we have CSC...and LOVE them!!! We have had virtually everything corrected with them on the first try!

I do not have an updated address,,,but, try this number 1-866-684-3199...you may be able to get an address from them. But, don't tell them what you are going to do (ie, MOV) tell them you prefer handling disputes by mail.

I was disputing the judgement with the CRA's after getting a letter from the creditor stating that a judgement was not filed. Transunion stated that they could not used the letter but was going to check the source of the judgement. CSC who I was refered to by Equifax was undeliverable. Isn't the creditor the source of the judgement. The creditor called the courthouse while I was in her office and they verifed that no judgement exist. I disputed this before with the CRA's and it came back verified. How did they verify it if the courthouse has no record. Do I have to sue everyone to get things done. Thanks for the input.

igdycsm: I have: CSC Credit Services PO Box 619054 Dallas, TX 75261-9054 However, I always send my disputes directly to Equifax (CSC handles though). I think it's just a weird quirk of mine. I just want the CRA to have my request in their hands. I always send to: Equifax PO Box 740241 Atlanta, GA 30374

Sunrise, I agree with you. I LOVE CSC Credit Services. I disputed all of my inaccuracies (six) with them and five of them were deleted within the first 30 days. I just discovered the sixth one in Dec (it was buried with the satisfactory accounts). No past dues reporting, yet status says 30 days past due. Huh??? I have no doubt that will get deleted with EQ. TU will probably verify somehow. EX reports it correctly.

Message Edited by ByrdMan on 01-05-2008 12:48 PM

What you should do is send or hand deliver a copy of the letter from the OC to the Court House and tell them they have been inaccurately reporting information to the 3 CBRs, and they they are in violation of your civil rights as outlined in the FCRA.

You can then ask the court house who reports to the CBRs for them and send them a copy of the OC's letter, too.

And then dispute with all three CRAs the next day, via fax.
