Debt Recovery Soluions _Verizon Acct

What is the best way to approach this issue
Old verizon acct - bal $311.38
Received collection letter from DRS regarding the acct, should i DV?
also, this is not on my CR, or should i just PIF. this acct was mines, changed phone service, but never followed up with old balance at the time. this acct is from around '04 maybe '05

SOL? If not near your state's SOL, I would DV the CA. It might be yours, but does that CA have the right to collect? Do they own the debt? Did you sign a contract with the CA (IMO this matters)? If at all possible, try to work with the OC.

SOL? If not near your state's SOL, I would DV the CA. It might be yours, but does that CA have the right to collect? Do they own the debt? Did you sign a contract with the CA (IMO this matters)? If at all possible, try to work with the OC.

ByrdMan, thanks, planning on sending DV on Tuesday,
will call Verizon on Tues and see if they will accept payment.(doubt it)
Not sure, but think I have another 2 years before NY SOL

i dv them for a old verizon acc as well. they havent respond yet. keep me posted on your outcome.. i will keep you and forum posted on my outcome
