DV sent certified mail and came back as invalid address. now what?

I DV'd a ca that is showing on my report. I sent it to the address showing on my report. I sent the DV certified mail and it came back to me unopened. The address is not valid. What do I do now? Can something be on my report if there is no valid address for the ca? Should I send a letter to the credit agencies now and ask to have it removed? When I disputed it online it came back verified.

Thought I would add that this JBD ca used so many illegal tactics to try and collect I should have sued them. I did not save the paperwork or record their calls. I didn't know about this site back then. They said they were a law firm, threatened to garnish my wages, have an appraisal done on my house, call my employer, and sue. They called 7 times a day and actually sent letters saying they were a law firm. They are not and the lawyer"s name they used isn't even licensed to practice in my state. After I got smart and told them what they were doing was illegal and I would sue if they didn't stop they sold my account to another JBD. Now it is showing on my account with both JBD's as collection accounts with two different balances. I thought once an account was sold it had to show that on your report and have a zero balance. Also don't they have to go by the first delinquent date from the oc? They aren't. The first late payment is Jan of 04 and they are showing it as feb of 07. The Sol in my state is 4 years so it should be up. I have Dv'd both of the JBD's via certified mail. They received the letters on Feb 1st. Well one did the other came back as invalid address. I just want these people off my report. Any advice on what else to do? If the JBD doesn't have a valid address how can they verify and continue to report? The oc was Providian and the JBD's are First american investment and First resolution management. Everything I have read about them says they are bad news and use illegal tactics. Has anybody out there fought and won with them? Oh, and the oc providian won't take any payments from me.They said they no longer have an account with me. I called and asked. Should I DV them as well? This one mistake is becoming a huge nightmare for me and I just want to fix it.

DISPUTE it with CRAs send copies of DV letter copy of Cert.paper copy of GG......tell CRAs that it was returned as undelieverable!! DELETE!

Thanks, I will but what exactly do I write to the credit bureaus? Do I just send a copy of what I sent and say it came back as not valid address? Do I have to state any legal terms or just say what happened? I copied the DV letter from this forum so is there a generic letter to send to the bureaus? Thanks for your help.

First resolution management. It is on all 3 reports but has a different address on each report. My equifax gives me an address in Reno and my Experian gives one in Seattle. I sent a DV to both address and the Reno came back as not valid. Does this mean they have to take it off of my Equifax report? The Seattle address was delivered ok and I got my registered receipt back from them but no response yet.

I don't believe they need to take it off of the report, but I could be wrong. Their website (firstresolution.com) has the following address:

AS for the non-deliverable one -- copy the envelope and the GC send it either via fax or mail to CRA and ask for removal since your request for validation wasn't deliverable (hope you used the address on your CR).

Thanks for the advice. I just sent a letter to equifax cmmr today. We'll see what happens. Does Equifax have to respond within a certain timeframe?

When a creditor reports to any CRA ALL info must be 100% accurate that includes the address!!

If the CA must be licensed in a state you might notice different addresss listed for the same CA.....if the address is not listed then they ARE NOT licensed for that address!

Today I mailed them a copy of the dv letter, returned envelope and certified mail receipt. I said that i disputed my account and gave them the number and address listed on equifax and said that it was returned because the address was not valid. I asked for it to be removed since it could not be verified due to not being able to be delivered. I sent this cmmr. Now I will just have to wait for an answer.
