Thanks for clearing this up. I was under the impression that CRA gave out the "official" FICO score for their report... for example, I thought TransUnion gave out the real deal score.

I'm assuming that lenders will get the official FICO score on any report that they pull to make a decision for a loan, correct? I know that my lender only pulls TransUnion reports, but with the TransUnion score being 50 points lower than my TransUnion FICO score - I'm nervous about which score they will be looking at.

Thanks again, Midnight, I appreciate it!

My understanding is that FICO scores are most accurate directly from the Credit Reporting Agency, and myFICO.com is a close second - correct?

Transunion.com is reporting my Transunion FICO score as nearly 50 points LESS than what I got from this site.

Any insight?

There is a trans union site where you can purchase your TU FICO only. It is www.transunioncs.com It costs $14.95 and it is a true FICO. Better to get it here (cheaper).

No problem - that is why we are here!!

Most lenders will use a real FICO score, possibly with minor adjustments (auto enhanced etc). But the real FICO is almost certainly the best guide as to where you are score wise.

MY True Credit FAKOs are really low, my EX/Amex FAKOs are close to reality, my CreditKarma FAKO is really nice

Over 90% of lenders will use FICO scores. The three CRAs have attempted to collaborate on another scoring system (Vantage), but they will be met with strong opposition to change, especially the Banking Industry. The TU score will likely be FICO. It might read as Emperica, which is TU's version of FICO. Ask your banker if they use FICO or otherwise.
