I went from well over 100% utilization to 10%. I got 2 nice bonuses from work last year and instead of putting it towards debt, I was saving it because I really never cared too much about my credit. I am a recent college grad and thought I had no reason to care. Fortunately, I stumbled across this site at the right time and got to work. Poured about $3,500 dollars across my 4 credit cards. All were maxed (some over the limit) and my Citi card was closed so it put me over 100% utilization.

Hello All,

I have been addicted to this forum for about a month now. LOTS of wonderful info here! I was just wondering if anyone else that has any HSBC (particularly with Orchard Bank) accounts hasnt had it updated on Equifax since December? I check TC daily and noticed that EX and TU have been updated for about a week now but still nothing from EQ.

In the past month I have bumped my score from 564 to 660 and am just waiting for my two HSBC accounts to update to put me over the top when I go apply for my mortgage. The waiting game is difficult!

Thanks in advance!

Yes it just took one month. I registered for the 30-day trial (and was sickened by my score) on January 21!

It is a VERY good feeling when you see the scores go up. I wish you well and promise that you will not be dissapointed in the end!

Go on EQ and dispute the balance. They have to at least respond in 30days...that should get it updated soon I'm sure....

I am gonna give it a couple of more days before I dispute. I've heard that Equifax (and have seen over the course of the month) is typically slower than the others. I was just making sure I wasnt the only lucky one without a recent update.

mine hasn't updated since october. i noticed that they updated my high balance on eq and tu, even though i made sure to pif by the 14th. i noticed that some say they report your balance from the 14th, and some say the last day of the month. i've given up, and just decided not to even try to use it and pif, because i've been trying to play that game with them since september, and i obviouslly am getting all of my dates wrong. for my account, i don't know what date they are using, then they play this game of having your payment pending for 14 days out of the blue. i'm soo frustrated with them right now. sorry.

I have never had problems with a "pending payment rule". They have also been pretty consistent it seems with the reporting on the last day of the month.....I guess it is taking a longer time to post the last day of the month balance for January on EQ.

i pif before the 14th cut off and before the 30th cut off, so i'm not sure why the balance doesn't reflect that. i pif twice a month, just to be sure to get my utilization to report at 1%, but what is reported never reflects this. maybe mine is just weird.
