Hi all, Long time visitor to the forums...they've helped me gain almost 100 points on all 3 scores and clear up a bunch of junk, plus get an AMEX! Big thanks to everyone who takes the time to contribute! Question: Has anyone ran into CBCS trying to collect on "AT&T Broadband LLC" accounts? Got a letter from them the other day saying I owed, but I don't recall this debt. Going to do a DV, but wanted to see if anyone else had ran into this and if it may be a scam...I've read some bad things about these guys. Thanks!

I've never received a letter from them but found them on my CR. The account they listed provides little to no information regarding they debt they claim I owe. No amount, no OC, an account # that I can't match to anything else. They are reporting on one CR only.

I have dv'd them and am waiting response. They have a few more weeks tho.

Thanks for the reply sidewinder. Which CRA are they reporting too? I called them yesterday and they said this was an account that was opened in 1997 and closed in 1999 and that it had been placed with their office for collection in December 2007. They said the company used to be AT&T Broadband LLC, but it's now Comcast. I called comcast and AT&T and they don't seem to have a clue as to what's going on. Can anyone else speak on this? It's clearly past the SOL, but will these crooks try to report this old of a debt?
