FNB Omaha/TD Ameritrade Inquiries

I just noticed there is a hard inq on my EX by FNB Omaha. I have opened TDAmeritrade Stock Trading Account. The forms that I have filled out and send are named on FNB Omaha. I did not know they would pull a Hard on me EX. Finally my EX inq's reached even 40. I'll wait till I get CreditSecure Alert and then I'll CreditSecure and see if there is any Soft inq on my EX CR.

TD Ameritrade softed me when I opened an account. It says TDAmeritrade, not FNBO...

Hi esshua, Did you choose the checks from TDA when you opened account? Would they do hard inq when you ask for TDA checks? Probably, another possibility could be, I have a secured Visa from FNB with a CL of $6000 now and I have sent $1000 last week to increase CL to $7000. The check might have reached there today and before giving CLI they might have wanted to check my CR. But when I sent $1000 each for the last 5 times they did not do hard inq. That is the reason I am thinking it could be due to TDA account. I'll call FNB tomorrow and see if they would change it to soft inq.

I have a FNBO platinum cc. I didn't order any checks from TD. FNBO hasn't INQ me since I got the card a few yrs back.

Then I guess it must be for checks I think. I'll call FNB/TDA tomorrow and find out. How do you like your FNBO CC?. I have their Secured CC. They told me they will make it unsecure after 21 months. I am debating if I should go ahead increase the CLI upto $15K and keep it or apply for another card in about a year and then close the Secured Account and put that money in the TDA. Either way I'll go ahead and increase my CL to $15k soon.

They hit me with universal default because of a reporting error. The error was corrected and they wouldn't budge.
