More GW success!

Just wanted to express my gratitude for everyone's advice here. In the past few months I've GW everything; a few weeks ago I received notice from Macy's that they would be deleting their entry on my CR. This weekend I received a response from Wells Fargo Bank Card Services that they would be changing their status to Paid/closed/never late. Yay! Thanks again, everyone, for all your great advice!!

I have never sent a GW letter out. to whom do you send them to in the company that you hade a late payment with.

what title or rank?

how do you typicaly find that person mailing address?

I send goodwill letters address to "To Whom it may concern" or "Sir or Madam". If my initial letters fail, I usually go for the higher-ups at a particular company. An address is usually listed on each of your CRs. You can also google the company for contact info.

Southern, a GW letter is a goodwill letter. It's designed for someone within a company, with which you have a baddie reporting to the CRAs, to do you a favor and stop reporting the negative information.

Congrats! The feedback from people on here is helping me too. So far I am just waiting for responses from people. What address did you use for Macy's? I sent a GW to Macy's collections and want to make sure I had the correct address.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys! It's such an accomplished feeling to get just one GW approved.

Grandfinale - I wrote the same letter and sent it to 3 addresses (one was the Credit Reporting Department)

I just wrote my first set of GW letters and mailed them off today (no CMRRR)..6 in total!

ACS/BRAZOS - 30 DAYS LATE (OPEN/CURRENT(

BRAZOS - 30 DAYS LATE (OPEN/CURRENT)

BALLY TOTAL FITNESS - 120 DAYS LATE (PAID/CLOSED) I mailed a letter to the local California office, and to the VP of Membership Services :-)

WFS/WACHOVIA DEALER SRVS- 30 DAYS LATE (2x) (PAID/CLOSED)

GREAT LAKES - 30 DAYS LATE (OPEN/CURRENT)

I will keep everyone posted on my progress...I'm hoping someone would understand my pain...I was honest and open about being layed off and jobless for a long time...so we'll see!!

Please let us know how the results turn out for you.

my self i haven't sent one GW, but itried to talk to the CEO of the bank before i paid my overdraft that is in collections. He wasnt the most understanding guy and only watned to hear that i never made the payment. I paid it anyways. i plan to GW them in 3 months again and also DV the CRA stating that the lates are incorrect.

Will do...I figure I will keep GoodWilling them until they either say ok ok, now leave us the heck alone...or until I get a restraining order put out on me...ha ha ha!

Chuck, perhaps your brain went faster than your fingers here , but you don't DV a CRA, you dispute with them. You DV a CA. Just wanted to clarify that for you.

Interestingly enough, those are the same two companies I'm trying to GW right now
