They do NOT pull a hard inquiry until your loan has been FUNDED and ACCEPTED. If your loan request fails, you will not see a hard pull.

Any one know who Prosper pulls? Am considering a loan with them and wondering due to number of inquiries on my reeports. Tu has the fewest inq's at 6 but 4 are from Jan and one from Dec.

Message Edited by cowpaddi on 03-02-2008 11:52 PM

A Prosper credit grade is a letter grade that Prosper assigns you based on your credit score, for use solely in the Prosper marketplace. Prosper obtains your Experian Scorex PLUSSM credit score from your credit report, and assigns one of seven credit grades.

http://www.prosper.com/help/topics/borrower-credit_grades.aspx

When you create a listing on Prosper, Prosper will contact Experian, our credit reporting partner, and retrieve your credit score and report. If your most recent credit pull is more than 30 days old, Prosper will pull a fresh credit score and report from Experian.

http://www.prosper.com/policies/borrowers-credit_report_changes.aspx

Message Edited by sidewinder on 03-03-2008 12:06 AM

I do know for a fact that Propser will only pull EX when you list your loan. 12 inqs will make a lot of lenders very nervous. Currently, Propser reports loans to EX and TU only. In the future, they will be reporting to EQ as well.
