Send GWs over and over and over and over again. Be a thorn in their side.

It's okay to send to a Pres or higher up corp. officer, IMO. There are success stories in here. Try also to vary contacts, etc.

If the CA is reporting $0, try a DV. Some don't want to bother and they might delete.

Hi everyone. Well I received my first GW response back from WAMU/Providian regarding an account that was charged off and sent to a CA ,which I in turn paid. So it's now being reported twice on my report - once by the CA and also by Providian. I GW'd them asking if they would remove the account. They sent me what seems to be a standard letter stating that they are 'required by FCRA to report information accurately and they are unable to remove valid info from my credit report'. Well, after reading some posts here about similar responses, I searched online for the name of a bigwig and I found the President of Card Services for WAMU/Providian. I wrote a new letter pleading my case and addressed it to him. Is this the right thing to do? From everything I've read, they are able to remove stuff, right?

Thanks!
