DUPLICATE INQ.

I got some alerts today on my cr and it was 8 new inquiries, 4 of which are duplicates of the other. what should i do? any reason why this happens?

Are these dupe inqs showing the same day? Which CRA?

Edited! Forgot to ask, are these inqs the result of house hunting or car shopping?

I have the same thing.. NFCU pulled hard on 6/12/07 and 6/13/07, and shows on EX and EQ, while we were refinancing our car. I'm pretty sure they didn't need to pull twice in two days, but I haven't been sure if I can/should dispute one of the inquiries as duplicate. I'll be interested to see the answer to this questions.

in your case it may be a change in policy, or they wanted more info. some lendors are revising policy to pull from 1 or more cra's, others always have.

they pulled both reports on both days. We had instant approval on the phone for the refi on the first day, I remember it clearly cuz I was super-suprised that it was instant. Would they still re-pull both reports after approving?

sorry are you saying they pulled two cra's twice, a total of 4 looks? or pulled eq, then looked at ex the next day (total of 2 looks)?

I am saying, they pulled EQ and EX on 6/12 and then pulled EQ and EX again on 6/13 for a total of FOUR looks. That seems excessive & unnecessary to me, but I'm not even a FICO toddler yet.

sorry, that is excessive. i think the only thing you may have going for you is the fico deduplication window. however, i'm not sure if this would apply to pulls for an autoloan originated by a cu.

hopefully someone with more knowledge will help me out. in fact i think i'll quit walking on op's thread and ask a question.

So long as your friends at NFCU properly code these inqs, they will count as one. As for the OP, I'm concerned if they are talking about CCC inqs...this would be a disaster.

They all show the same day and it's EQ.

This is how each appears on CR. A result of my apping spree. I'm sure i never applied for the same card twice let alone 4 seperate occassions.
