Less than a year ago I was sitting in the low to mid 500's with derogs, lates, collections, a tax lien and a dismissed chapter 7. I spent a year very aggressively attacking my credit from every angle. This week I got approved for a Fannie Mae at prime rate with only 3% down on a 30-year fixed. It feels almost surreal. Keep systematically hammering at your file, pay on time, and keep balances low. That's it, no magic.

Congratulations! That is wonderful news. I have to argue with you about the magic part though. There is so much "magic" here with the help others provide and the hope that it gives them for their own future. In fact you just worked some with me by this post.

girlie, all mid 600's with the highest being 689. Not spectacular, just "average." But....I am really happy to be just average considering where I've come from. Plus, the 700's are inevitable, just a little more time!
