EQ has "verified" Midland TWICE and sent me reports giving me the 5775 Roscoe address which I have disputed as "undeliverable" with all necessary documents.

After holding for 30 minutes for an EQ supervisor who told me that it doesn't matter that the address is undeliverable, they have verified, I nearly got into a shouting match with the moron.

So, I'm on hold again waiting to see if anyone at EQ has ever freakin' heard of FCRA or FACTA.

After 3 DV's, 3 disputes, 2 MOVs, I'm at the end of my rope.

Help!

atlast....glad that the only weapons I own are 30g darts....

Message Edited by atlastontheroad on 04-07-2008 05:02 PM

9. If they open a dispute over the phone, get the new confirmation number. Write down the confirmation number, the time & date of your call, and the name of the rep at the CRA with whom you spoke. They might also be a "ghost" and you might have to ask for a supervisor to get a name.

10. Once the investigation is complete, if the inaccurate info remains, then send an ITS letter to the CRA. Give 'em 10 days, then either file suit yourself in small claims or contact a consumer lawyer and see about filing in federal court. naca.net or myfaircredit.com are two good sources of consumer lawyers for debt and credit issues.

Well, EX just pulled a worse (for them) stunt when discussing the Midland fiasco. The supervisor I spoke with stated that they "will not reinvestigate."

I've emailed my accumulated documents (3 DV's to 2 addresses, 5 "resolved" and "verified" disputes at two addresses, complaints to the FTC, California AG, New York AG and San Diego BBB) to a consumer attorney. I spent about 20 minutes talking with her and will meet with her early next week to decide if the accumulated violations are worth a contingency case.

Nonetheless, I'll pay her for making Midland go away.

I give up.

atlast.....EXP hates me, 6 points, to 599. It's ok, I hate them too.
