NEXT Card Charge Off Question

I have a Next Card charge-off from 2002. It is only reporting on my TU. It last reported in August of 2002 with a high/charged off balance of $800. I have never been contacted to a CA about it. Does anyone know what happened to NextCard and their accounts? Does anyone know what will happen if I ask TU to remove it?

Who is reporting? is it the OC a CA or both? what is the DOFD/DOLA the CO date is usually after the DOFD/DOLA which means that it will drop no later then 2009............

If the OC is reporting look at the reporting for the drop date.

Nextcard stopped reporting on 8/2002. Nothing has reported since and no CA. TU says it will drop off in 4/2009. If Nextcard is gone, can I challenge TU on its accuracy, in which case they'll have to drop it?

Keep in mind that every verified dispute will update the account and could hurt your scores.

Now saying that I would dispute it & IF it comes back verified I would MOV the CRAs!!!

Many times the accounts are sold. When the accounts are sold to CAs they usually do not have any proof to back them up.But they try to bully you.

The CRAs PC talks to creditors PC & then back from 1 PC to the other that is how a dispute is done.Because of what went on with this OC.... I think you have a good change of a delete!
