Thanks to everyone who followed my process, these boards helped immensely and at times were much more knowledgeable than my LO. I want to thank everyone for their time and kind words. I closed today and received the keys and have already began to move.

The credit repair process can be grueling, its a grind and a game. I opened up two credit cards this eve and I am just going to "garden" as they say on here and let my scores rise. I am not buying another house, I have a new truck, so I am thankfully done with apps for the foreseeable future!!

As we used to say in the 80's "I love it when a plan comes together"

I am so happy you are closed and done. Congrats on the Discover card as well. That is something I haven't been able to to accomplish yet.

I am glad Michigan Mutual came through for you in the end. My experience with them was a good one. I really like the fact that they put their UW guidelines out there for the world to see. Helps keep these realtors and LOs honest.

Hammer, you giving me those UW guidelines was a HUGE help, it really was. I had things ready before they needed them. I was in a real pickle with the sub 640 program and needed all the help I could get. I was a little upset with MMI yesterday, but I understand, I threw them a curve ball at the last minute and I am lucky them accomodated me and let me close with the discount. They cold have just put me all back thru UW and who knows what could have happened then.

The CC thing is a whole new battle. March 2011 I was able to open up a $300 unsecured with CAP ONE and a $200 with Orchard Bank. I have kept up with those and built the history. I noticed on my CR one of the agencies listed low score because I didnt have 2000 in available credit, so I wanted to add that to the mix along with the new mortgage. MY inquiries were already thru the roof because we had to do 4 pulls for the mortgage, so I figured now is the time. I applied for Sears, AMEX, Discover and CAP ONE. Cap One gave me another $1000 card and so did Discover. I am now done with credit for awhile!! First payment due Oct 1, HA! I dont even mind a bit.

Congrats!! Huge accomplishment! You mentioned some underwriting guidelines shared by Hammer. I looked at some of your threads, but couldn't find them. Will you share?
