Employment Verification Question

So I am currently waiting on appraisal and file was sent to uw. Today my employer informed me that she received request for employment verification and has sent it back to them.

Is this step usually when underwritting is reviewing my file? or prior to them reviewing?

I'm so anxious!!

This step is performed prior to your file being submitted to underwriting. Your file will be sent to underwriting after the appraisal is received. Income, assets and credit are always verified prior to being sent to the underwriter. Good luck!

In our situation, they sent in the written employment verification into UW when they had the appraisal information back, we are finished with UW and our file has gone to Rural Development for a committment when it comes back from there, it will go back to UW and then my loan processor will call my employer for a verbal verification. She said that had to be done within 7 days of closing the loan, so they do that at last minute.

This process is very nerve wracking, try to hang in there and know each day you are one step closer to your new home. We are on day 78 of our journey to home ownership.

This waiting period for appraisal and approval makes me very anxious.

I did confirm with MB and the written verification is prior to sending everything in to undewrtiting. They must be waiting on appraisal to send in everything together.
