Easy way to figure it out is to take your yearly gross income and times it by 3 or 4. You will be approved somewhere in between.

Probably mid 200s

Affordability Questions?

Good Evening, so I have some general questions about calculating affordability. I have used several caculators and all of them have come out with a different answer. It's very difficult to get a general number. Here are the facts;
EQ score today was 660. I am running high utl. on some no interest cards so once those are paid off it should be closer to 690.
Not sure of my girlfriends credit score but it's not great.
Length of credit history is not very long. A little over a year. But by the time we are ready to buy it should be close to two years.
My annual gross is 40k
Her annual gross is 28k
Our only debit is an auto loan for her at 300 a month. That has 26 months left.
I have never had any baddies on my report. I know she had a few. But is working to repair her credit with the auto loan. No lates.

Just curious what to expect. We aren't looking seriously yet but I would like to start looking over the fall. Any insight on what price range to look for would be great. Thanks, Chris.
