Yea ouch, that is not good! We were able to lock in at the beginning of this month with an 80 day free lock in. When does your lender let you lock? Is it too late to shop a little?

I am going through a state down payment/closing cost assistance program so as the market flucuates, so will the rate. It seems like their rate is 1 pt higher than the average market rate.

My file went to underwriting last week and I got the call today that I was approved with a lovely laundry list of conditions. They weren't terrible though and I have already provided back all the needed info. My loan officer told me I got the pickiest underwriter out of everyone but I guess if I was able to get approved with the worst one that's a good thing right? I am just still super nervous ... I won't be relaxed until clear to close.
