topic My scores dropped. in Mortgage Loans

I have been house shopping I found a house started the whole process. My scores just dropped because a previous collection was placed that had been removed before. I have paid it off but waiting for the CB to update. All of my collections are paid again waiting for an update. I have not started the mortgage process yet there is an accepted offer on the house. I'm looking to get a VA loan (already have the eligibility done) Can I start this process knowing my scores will raise in the next 30 days.

<DIV>You can always start the process of discussing mortgage options for VA, what to expect as far as interest rate, estimated monthly payment,&nbsp;funds to close (settlement costs), and just any questions you have in general - you just might want to hold off on having your credit pulled if your scores aren't where they need to be at this point.&nbsp; This collection that was placed on your credit, when did it say the date of last activity was on it?&nbsp; If it was awhile ago, then paying it off might not help your scores and might actually have hurt them - but if it was recent, paying it off wouldn't hurt your scores and there could be a possibility it'd help them a little bit.</DIV>
